On Sunday, 21st April 2013, Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens will host its annual Plant and Garden Fair. This is now recognised as the biggest plant fair outside of Dublin.It is expected that over 70 specialist nurseries will attend and provide an opportunity for visitors to purchase unusual and special plants, including rare trees, shrubs, Alpine herbaceous and water plants at reasonable prices. Retailers providing a range of lovely garden furniture, terracotta pots, garden sculpture, ornaments and tools will also present on the day, thus enabling visitors to get everything they need for their garden.
The fair will run from 11am to 4pm and catering facilities will be available in Fota House and on site throughout the day.
There will also be an opportunity for those attending to take a tour of the restored Victorian glasshouses and kitchen garden and to enjoy the beautiful gardens and arboretum.
For those with an interest in gardening, this is an event not to be missed. Profits from this event are shared between Marymount Hospice Building Fund and Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens. Admission is 8.00
